Heading to AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days at Mid-Ohio on JULY 19-21st ?
We will be there in the Swap Meet area - Row V - Space 660. Stop by and buy some stuff!
Trail riding 7/5/13. Well it's probably good there are no pictures from this ride! We discovered a new hillclimb and some really slippery stuff. We put knobbies on the Reflex today and if you were on the ride you know why!
Trail riding 6/15/13. Here Jake rips up the powerline hillclimb with Ron following.
We had about 10 riders who took on the private lands around the Bath area. Mud and hillclimbs presented most of the problems (fun) but everyone made it back in good shape. Thanks to Dave for the site, Billy for leading the ride and our landowners for the opportunity to ride the land!
15 riders, + excellent roads + warm weather = a good time.
The river Run was a success, Paul Y even saw a bear on the Catatonk by the Canisteo River, thankfully not on the road!
5/5/13 YOOHOO hitting the offroad trails in Newton Gully. Those flat rocks are slippery!
4/28-13 - A weekend at camp - Jeff (space invader) and Jake on the pipeline road.
4-21-13 A fantastic 85 mile ride with 19 guys on this brisk April day. 2 Guys had flat tires and one rider DNF but everyone else made it back safe and sound. Thanks to all who came out - what a blast!
This just in!
Rode with two criminals today. Bob & Sam got free cavity searches for not having there trailers inspected. We were polite, we turn and looked the other way. Lesson Learned. Keep everything to date.

4/6/13 We took some backroads over to Lane's Yamaha open house on this chilly April day. They had a real nice display of some of their personal bikes. Here are a couple beauties from the early 90's. A Yamaha GTS100 with a forkless front end and a TDM850.
Dan and his crew out terrorizing the West Shore RR Bed 3/11/13.
The first ride has gone down on 3/10/13! 50 degree temps had the dirt roads melted off pretty good except in the shadiest of spots (Gay Gulf and East Union Roads come to mind). Our 60 mile tour took us through Wheeler Amish country and the towns of Avoca and Bath. On this ride we had: Paul Y, Billy C, Jon F, Jonathan F, Joe L, Kyle S and Dave S who was an hour behind us due to still being on Daylight Savings Time.
Here we are on Shattuck Rd on the Bath town line.
Come out and visit with the Skidmarks and vintage bike enthusiasts at WinterCycle Therapy, Feb 23rd and 24th at the Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport. We are expecting a great turnout this year so come on down! If you would like to display your vintage bike contact Bob here: http://www.oddballolddog.net/
A liittle ice riding down on Jake's Robie Road pond on this chilly January Day. 25 deg - a nice escape from the sub-zero past week.
Found some horses enjoying this balmy January day on Fritz hill Road.
Ice Road Rider 12/15/12
Felt real good today to get on the bike and take a short tour of a couple local seasonals. This stretch of road was covered with ice for a couple long stretches. Looked a lot more treacherous in real life than this picture may lead you to believe!

This is a good ride worth trekking to every year. Here we have Jeff T, the Finnney's, and Mitch L. striking a pose after the ride.
Looks like Dave found the post ride refreshments!
Skidmarks Weekend Aug 18 & 19, 2012
The 3rd annual Skidmarks weekend is in the books. It was a strong showing by the kids this year and was fun to work with them on their trail riding skills.
Trail Ride July 29th,2012
Just after Jeff got done swimming at the top of Tex McDougal's hill!
Adventure Tour 6/23/12
of Windmills in Howard and beyond!
Another in a long line of tours taking in the best dirt roads of Howard, Jasper, Troupsburg, Woodhull , Addison and Bath. About 18 riders took to the roads on everything from a KTM990 to a barely legal Honda CRF450X (riding 2 up to boot!) Thanks to Dave Phillips for leading the pack and to Keith and Sandy Smith for hosting the cookout after! This is why this club is so successful...it's the people!
Mayhem on the mountain! What a great time - we kept the whole group together, hit a lot of good trails. Thanks to Jimmy for taking some excellent pictures!
What a great day with 15 riders exploring the backroads of the Steuben County. We had a couple breakdowns but other than that things went off without a hitch. The route was about 90 miles and the weather was cooperative with sunny skies temps in the 50's. Thanks to Dave and Dan for leading the ride and to all who came out.
Fantastic March weather, gooey roads and 11 riders made this great way to kick off our third year of riding together. We did manage to find the glacier on
I saw this 60 degree day coming for the last week. Didn't make it to work but I was feeling good enough to get out for a tour:) As I was taking a ride around the Holler, I came apon this crazy rider on his Chinese knockoff of a BMW R71 war bike. His machine had overheated and he was waiting for the motor to "unlock".
Someday I will be retired like Doug and be able to do this:
You would never know it in WNY. Here are Dan and Jason on 1/11/12 while the rest of the world was hard at work.
Congratulations is in order for Rich Joki who rode the TAT trail across the country this summer on his way to winning the 2011 Skidmarks Milage Contest. Rich managed to pile on 10,212 miles on his XR650L this year for the win. The rest of the entries fell out like this:
2). 10,020 Joe Longacre on a XR650L and Triumph Tiger 955i
3.). 5,323 Doug's Vittum on a KLR650
4.) 3,873 Dave Philips on a KLR650
5). 2,829 Dan McMurdy on a XR650L
Great roads, great weather, great people! Thanks to Dan M. for leading the charge through Birdsall and Billy for gathering the lost and broken riders up.
